Loadbearing Planet

I made this piece for a competition, envisaging our planet with the milleniums piled upon it, from fossil times, oceans, continents, coming of man, developments ,wars and climate change.
It‘s woven with a blend of handspun, handdyed alpaca and wool yarns.
It measures 1,3m in height
