About Us

Annamaria at her loom in the studio, with her tapestries on the wall behind.
This is me, Annamaria, at one of my looms. I work mostly with the yarns my husband spins, but I also use organic cottons, linen, bamboo and silk.
Bob spinning fleece on a great wheel.
Bob, my husband, spinning away. He has spun our sheep wool, mohair, dog hair, possum, bison and silk, settling down now with locally sourced alpaca.

My weavings are original and organic ,from fleece to garment, nice to touch, long lasting, natural, washable and I don’t use synthetics.

Would you like to learn to weave? Sometimes I take on a new beginner student. My emphasis is to teach how to set up a new warp and some basics, then it’s your own creativity! Get in touch.

About Us

Some time ago I have joined the SPINDLE TREE Cooperative in Hobart. They were looking for new members and were happy to find a weaver to join them. While I still maintain my open Studio and sell directly to the public, I enjoy the opportunity to have a wider audience for my work. I often look after the shop on a Saturday and love to meet visitors.
